I grew up with entertainment a core part of my life, surrounded by film, literature, and gaming. As I aged, I gravitated more towards self-improvement and intellectual content, and only consumed entertainment when it contributed towards my goals.
However, a part of me yearned for more, feeling I wasn't getting enough. I soon became frustrated by the lack of quality entertainment options for those who wish to grow and make a difference in the world.
So I started Polka Box, where we craft world-class entertainment that delights people on a playful, intellectual, and artistic level. I dream of an industry where entertainment is used for good, spurring the advancement of our world and enabling unprecedented growth.
I'm happy to say that, since we started in 2020, we've released a novel about medical tech, a short film about leadership, and are currently working on a game about scientists (projected release: Spring 2023).
While I'm a technophile, I'm also a biophile at heart; I ❤️ life and nature.
I'm frustrated with how tech products divide us from the planet, from the materials they use to their look and feel. This negatively impacts our mental health and ability to live in a greener future.
So I've made it part of my work to design tech products that bring us closer to nature and the environment, while also evoking greater joy and pleasure.
To achieve this, I'm mastering UX Design and Human Computer Interaction (HCI), which focuses on improving people's experience when using technology.
I someday hope to combine my design skills with my passion for entertainment to benefit society in unique ways.
